Skincare Treats

Half Price + Double Points Voucher = Skincare treats for myself from Superdrug! And I'm quite pleased with my purchases!

This product is amazing! I have just finished using up my last jar of this and I can honestly say my skin feels so good after using this. I've previously used Clinique Moisture Surge and this for me gives very similar results - with a much lower price point.

The packaging is in a glass jar which gives the product a nice more premium touch and the gel formula just really works for me! Massive thumbs up for this little jar of wonder!

I am a huge fan of facial water sprays that help cool you down when it's hot and don't make a mess of your make up but this product from Superdrug's B.Confident range is apparently an 'Instant skin Reviver'.

Now I haven't really had a chance to give this a good test out yet but so far I've found that is sinks into the skin quickly, no spray lingering and not setting in but I really can't stand the smell. And I can't really describe it either but maybe it will grow on me after a bit of use.

My final skincare treat is from Olay and this is from their Hydration range. The product I picked up was the 2 in 1 Lightweight Lotion with SPF 15 which was probably the selling point for me. I have a lot of moisturisers/lotions/creams but actually not that contain an SPF and with it being summer - when it gets here - it's so important to have an SPF.

Another thing I love about Olay is the classic smell which always reminds of my mum who has used Olay products for as long as I can remember. P.S the mini bottle size makes it extra cute to stick on my dressing table :).

This T-Shirt is Bananas

I always try to avoid going into the shops after a stressful day at work because it's at these times that I am probably likely to purchase things that A- I don't need and B- I probably already own something similar and  C- I probably can't afford it! However I still end up going into the shops anyway and around 99% of the time end up purchasing.

My chosen shop this time was Zara and I didn't exactly go mad but I did buy some welcome additions to my wardrobe/perfume collection.

I used to be a dress only girl - it was a rare for you to find me in anything else but over the last year I've really got into wearing trousers/jeans and that has meant I've expanded my top collection and I am constantly on the hunt for easy to wear t-shirts and Zara is amazing for this. And also not as expensive as you may think either!

So the first thing that caught my eye was the banana print t-shirt and it just screamed summer at me! It's such a fun print and at £5.99 it was pretty much a done deal and perfect for those days when you don't want to really dress up but you don't want to be boring and bland either!

My second purchase was a black, longer length t-shirt with white writing along it stating - 'Inhale the Future Exhale the Past'.

This top was another reasonably priced at £7.99 and I totally get sucked in with slogan t-shirts so this was an absolute must have.

And the final purchase was a set of two perfumes in the scents Femme and Red Vanilla which were priced at £7.99 for two 30ml bottles. These are just easy to wear scents that will live in my handbag or in my locker at work as Zara fragrances are reasonably priced and so I don't mind if I use them on a day to day basis and the bonus is that Zara have a really nice range of scents in their collection.

New Products: MUA Pixel Perfect Multi Blush & Bronze

MUA seem to be releasing new products on what feels like a weekly basis and I absolutely love it even if my bank balance is often screaming at me when I check it. The latest editions are the Pixel Perfect Multi Blush & Bronze which are absolutely stunning.

There are 4 blush shades in the collection and I picked up Pink Blossom and Peach Bloom and there's also 2 bronzes in the collection with the shade Terracotta Glow being the one I picked up. My favourite shade is Pink Blossom as it's a nice natural pink and really makes you glow whereas I feel that the Peach Bloom and Terracotta Glow are better for someone who has a slight tan as they both were quite orange on my skin.

Pink Blossom -

Peach Bloom -

Terracotta Glow -

With these blushes and bronzer the one thing I have noticed when using them are that you really have whirl your brush around a few times in the pan to get a good amount of product on your brush so that it shows up on your skin. Apart from that these are quite a nice product and for £3.00 they aren't a bad price at all.

New Products: Witch Skincare

So there's nothing like when you spot a new product on the shelf when shopping , for me in a instance it's in the basket and I'm away at the till suddenly handing over my debit card simply on impulse because the word new is plastered all over the product. And this time it was no different.Witch Skincare products are always a bit hit and miss with me but when I saw the latest new products I couldn't resist picking them up and seeing what they were all about.

First product is the Daily Primer & Clearing Serum which is actually half new and half recycled. Witch used to do a Primer that was very similar in what this one is said to do in terms of results but it suddenly disappeared from near enough everywhere and left me devastated in the process as it was my go to everyday primer. In fact before it disappeared I didn't use any other primer so the fact it's now back is literally the best thing and I'm just hoping the formula is the same as before or even better if that is possible.

The second product that's been added to their collection is their brand new Micellar Water - whoop!!! I am a complete sucker for micellar waters and I am really enjoying using this one as it's probably one of the most gentle ones I've come across in a while. Also the sensation of the witch hazel really makes your face feel thoroughly cleansed without too the smell being too overpowering. If you are on the lookout for a new micellar water then I would highly recommend this one!!!

New Lip Balms

It's been 6 months since my last post which is in blog world terms like forever but life gets you caught up sometimes in the thick of it and before you know it's nearly halfway through 2016 and your writing your first blog post of the year! Scary indeed.

Anyway on with the post and I am a huge lover/spender/hoarder of lip balms and anytime there's new ones launched I have to have them and even if they are not new and I don't have them in my collection - I have to also have them. So today I've got three newbies that have recently managed to sneak into my collection.

So I absolutely love the packaging of this lip balm - it's probably the main reason I bought it! This is very much like the EOS and Balmi type packaging but better. Whereas those you have to unscrew the top with the FlipBalm you do just that and you flip the balm!

The formula of this has natural coconut butter, Vitamin E and coconut oil and it's not a lie with the name because this really is a creamy lip balm that really hydrates your lips. I definitely prefer this one to the Balmi which I am a huge fan of but there's something about the packaging and the formula that makes this a winner. The price is £4.99 so it is a little bit more expensive for a lip balm but definitely worth every penny.

The FlipBalm also comes in Juicy Watermelon and Ripe Mango.

This is a standard tube lip balm from the brand Kind Natured that is 97% natural ingredients which includes Manuka Honey and beeswax. This is a really moisturising almost glossy lip balm that feels really comfortable when applied. However for me the a huge con of this lip balm is flavouring and smell of the Manuka Honey which I really don't like unfortunately however the context of the balm itself is great and at £3.49 it's not a bad price.

3- Baby Balmi Fresh Mint - £2.00 Available at Primark

So Balmi lip balm have been around for a few years now and I have a few in my collection but when I was browsing in Primark I came across Baby Balmi i.e a small sized balm for a great price of £2.00. I didn't need it but purely for the novelty value I picked it up and it's the cutest little thing!

Why I do Motivational Monday?

So every day I wake up and face the same battle of getting the motivation to drag myself out of bed, put a smile on my face and get through the day. And it literally feels like a battle for me! I do my weekly 'Motivational Monday' posts because for me it's incredibly hard to get motivated and take on each day and no more so than on a Monday.

A Monday morning is officially for me the end of the weekend and back to the working week whereby I have to get through the next five days of work before I feel I can really relax again probably. So 'Motivational Monday' is for all those that struggle like me on a Monday morning because once you get Monday over, each morning it gets a little bit easier to get motivated.

Little Pick Me Up Via Boots

So after finishing work yesterday I felt a little, not exactly down but just kind of.......flat?!! Maybe. You know the feeling where you've been at work and then you get to the end of the shift and its all a bit blah, blah, blah.

That was ME.

So even though I shouldn't be spending (sorry mum), I did pop a few bits into my basket in Boots!

The first thing I popped into my basket was a Christmas gift I thought I'd treat myself to which is the Soap & Glory Gloss It Girl Christmas Cracker Set £14.00.

The set contains 5 mini Sexy Mother Pucker Lip  Glosses which are all 4ml each and for once in a set all of the glosses are all colours that I will probably actually wear which is pretty rare to like all the shades in gift sets for me.

Left to right - Candy Queen, Spun Sugar, Plumsup, Nudestar, Bare Enough
As you can see from the picture above all the colours are pretty neutral apart from Plumsup so as a gift this would be perfect for Christmas as these would suit pretty much anyone. Also with these lip glosses is that they do give a slight sensation when you apply them! These are also absolutely perfect for popping in your handbag!

So I don't need another lipstick but I don't own a red and everyone seems to always rave about the Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107 so I thought why not?

This is quite a dark cherry red that I definitely will need a liner to stop it bleeding out but am looking forward to seeing how this looks.

I also added another Max Factor Creme Puff Blush to my already ridiculously large blush collection in 15 Lavish Pink. These blushes are absolutely brilliant and I already have 20 Lavish Mauve so thought I'd try another colour.

I also picked up the latest Barry M palette - Get Up and Glow. This contains 1 bronzer, 1 highlighter and 3 blushers.

Also the Blistex MedPlus Repairing LipBalm as it's got to the time of year again where my lips are getting dry and none of my lipbalms are currently cutting it with making them better so might as well give this a whizz.

And finally my only skincare buy of the day which was the Botanics Hydration Burst Dual Action Cleanser which I'm not sure if it's new or not or if I just have never noticed it before but I am really interested to see how this works. It;s for dehydrated and sensitive skin as well which is perfect as mine is currently quite dehydrated.

So there's all my little pick me bits after my blah day which I will be trying to not make a habit.
