So the first day of August this year happens to have fallen on a Monday & to kick start this month I thought I'd do a Motivational Monday post seeing as it's been a while. So July has been quite rubbish in all honesty so I'm wanting to go into August feeling positive & I want to end it positive - I'll end it half positive if I have to!
So to get me on the road for August & so the rest of the year I purchased a new diary to get myself all set & organised finally. I keep trying to get myself motivated to actually do and things but lately it's all been very blah, blah, blah for me! But I've decided to make no more excuses to slowly but surely get everything in order!
'Don't Let Anyone Ever Dull Your Sparkle' for me is really motivational & positive for me to look at and think about for those days when people & things are really getting you down it's always handy to have something to give you a little kick of inspiration. Plus the diary is the perfect size to carry about & be on the go with & to make sure that I am actually getting stuff done in my life! The best thing is that it was only a £1 from Poundland!
So go on everyone and make sure you keep your Sparkle shining bright!
Cheers & Loves

Why I do Motivational Monday?
So every day I wake up and face the same battle of getting the motivation to drag myself out of bed, put a smile on my face and get through the day. And it literally feels like a battle for me! I do my weekly 'Motivational Monday' posts because for me it's incredibly hard to get motivated and take on each day and no more so than on a Monday.

A Monday morning is officially for me the end of the weekend and back to the working week whereby I have to get through the next five days of work before I feel I can really relax again probably. So 'Motivational Monday' is for all those that struggle like me on a Monday morning because once you get Monday over, each morning it gets a little bit easier to get motivated.

Motivational Monday 23/11/2015
1- You can't cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
2- Make today so awesome that yesterday gets jealous.
3- Do all that you can and all that you thought you could not.
Happy Monday to you all!

Motivational Monday
I have never been a fan of Mondays, right from when I was at school to uni to now full time work Monday for me is like the unknown. Last week has been and gone and happened and the start of a new week is new, exciting but you don't know what is going to happen.
So I like to call them 'Motivational Mondays' - I can't change last week but I have the power to change this week and to go forward and make whatever it is that I want to happen, to actually happen. So every Monday I'm going to spread a little wisdom to set myself and everyone else on the path for a positive week kickstarted with a cracking Monday to continue for the week.

Long Time. No Blog.
I would love to say that I have an excuse for lack of blogging in the last month but I truly truly don't! Since coming back from this beautiful place -
- time has literally flown by that I am now entering my 6th week of my third and final (fingers crossed) year of uni! As every uni student knows the first couple of months of being back after such a long summer throws you in to absolute chaos.
I had a nice relaxing 2 weeks of sun, sea and cocktails in Mallorca to then coming back to the miserable and dull Southampton - it's not quite the same is it??? But with it being my third year of uni I was all excited to get straight back into the swing of things and then boom all potential motivation I had was lost.
So for the past few weeks I've been in a bit of a slump trying to get all settled back into a proper routine (it's not easy) and I think this week with my mum and sister visiting me for my birthday it has finally given me a little push to get on with the year properly and finally! So after a bit of a false start I'm all ready to go ahead and push forward with everything and that includes blogging!!!
I have so many posts that I need to write up so in the next few weeks you might be swarmed with posts all about my latest purchases so sorry in advance as well as my new love for lipstick - never thought I'd say that! Plus I'm hoping after all my deadlines in the next few weeks are done of giving this blog a potential revamp so keep looking out!!!

Fit and Healthy
3 months ago something inside me clicked and I realised even though I was skinny I was ridiculously unfit and that I needed to do something about it so I decided to take up running. Now I used to do a bit of running when I was younger but I hadn't ran for about 7 years properly (apart from randomly running sport relief last year) so I won't lie that before that first run with my boyfriend I was nervous as hell. Shaking and everything. Just pure panic. And it didn't go so well! It made me realise how unfit I actually was but I carried on with complete determination that I could get better.
On Sunday 17th March 2013 I did a 10km run for Age UK called Wrap Up and Run which was something I never thought in a million years I'd be able to do but I did it. To be honest as I'm pretty much in my opinion allergic to exercise I think it came as a surprise to everyone especially my mum and the rest of my family. To be honest my mum was probably in complete shock that I was going to attempt to it but I had motivation in the form of my boyfriend.
Even though he's a bit of a task master and does get a bit annoyed when I stop mid flow I don't think without him I'd have had the motivation or the determination to do it but I did. Plus when he turned around the night before and said that he didn't think I'd be able to do it due to being in bed with flu the week that made me even more determined that I would finish it one way or another!!! My time was just over an hour (pretty annoying) and I didn't stop till I reached 8km when I literally just couldn't run any more but all in all I finished and it was the one of the best feeling afterwards of achievement I think I've ever felt as well as relief that I could now rest.

I've been a bit slack recently but this week I'm going to start running again as I'm aiming to do the Race For Life 10km in under an hour and also at the same time raise money for a great cause. There really is no better feeling that crossing the finish line after working your legs as hard as you can and I look forward to experiencing that feeling again in July.
