Fashion & Beauty: A Few Primark Purchases

Before yesterday I couldn't tell you the last time I 'popped' into Primark so my visit was well overdue in my opinion. As I was on my lunch break it was a little bit of a rushed look around but none the less I did end up picking up a few purchases and a few bargains!

The first thing I found on my rummage through the sales stands was this amazing playsuit that is going to be perfect for my holiday. It was priced at £5.00 but when it scanned through it was actually £2.00 = Day Made!

And then the next thing I picked up was this pack of six earrings for £1.00. I absolutely adore black and gold earrings so these again will be something I'll no doubt take on holiday with me.

And everything else I picked up was beauty related! So here's all of that -

Nail Varnish £0.80. Nail Polish Twist Pot £1.00. Beauty Drawers £4.00

Nail Polish in Ice Queen

Eyeliner 2 Pack with Sharpener £1.00

High Shine Lip Gloss in True Nude & Skin Deep £1.50 each

PS Pro Lip Primer £3.00 & PS Pro Longwear CC Concealer £2.50

The main bulk of my purchases were beauty related as I really wanted to get my hands on some of the new PS Pro make up unfortunately they didn't have that much in store so only picked up the two items. Still I'm excited to try all the make up as I've never tried much else in terms of Primark makeup and the beauty drawers at £4.00 were an absolute steal!

If you have any beauty recommendations from Primark then please let me know so I can whizz down and purchase some more goodies.

Beauty Bargains: Soap & Glory Fragrance Mists

I am an impulse shopper and I know I am but it's something I've always been but it seems that I am even more of an impulse shopper when I see a clearance, reduced or sale sign. I would say it's not even impulse that puts the product/thing/stuff into my basket, it's just boom suddenly sub consciously I'm at the counter with a basket full of items.

So when I saw these Soap & Glory Fragrance Mists reduced to £1.75 each I just had to put them all in my basket. I am such a fan of fragrances, sprays and perfumes - anything scented because I don't know I always feel better after a little spritz of something. 

The four fragrances are -

- Orageasm Super Tonic Fragrance
- Mist You Madly Fragrance Mist (Fressia, Cassis & Vanilla)
-Fruitigo Frangrance Mist (Yuzu Fruit & Wild Fig)
-Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist (Sweet Lime & Vanilla Musk)

These aren't available online but if you pop into your local Boots then they may still have some in stock. I have to say before I got these I didn't get all the hype over the Sugar Crush Scent but I think it's my favourite one!

Budget Beauty: The £1 Body & Face Cooling Mist

Last summer facial water sprays had their moments to shine and I am so grateful that I discovered them when I did because as someone who isn't great with heat they were the perfect cool me down. Everyone from Avene to Evian had their own facial water spray/mist/etc type product however some of these were pretty pricey i.e the cheapest priced Avene is around £3.00 in most stores for 50ml spray. 

So I welcome you to my latest budget beauty discovery - Beauty Formulas Body & Face Cooling Mist priced at £1.00 (yes seriously) for 150ml available from Savers. Although the formula isn't quite as slick as say Avene whereby this doesn't sinks into the skin as soon as it is sprayed, for the price difference I think I will be able to cope with that. This will be my budget alternative this summer.

Now please sun make an appearance for me!

Where to find Beauty Bargains?

Who loves a bargain?

I'm guessing near enough everyone's thinking nodding their heads and thinking oh yes! I'm constantly on the hunt for bargains especially beauty ones as buying beauty products can certainly add up but I've found some awesome places so I thought I'd share them with you! Boots and Superdrug do have some fantastic offers on a lot of the time (Boots 3 for 2 is a big favourite) but they are the obvious ones so I thought I'd do a run down of the places I look for fab beauty bargains.

1)- TK Maxx

So I regularly pay a visit to TK Maxx to check out the stock because it's ever changing and I don't want to miss out on something that's really great! If you read my Bargain Make Up Brush Haul then you'll know that I picked up the Real Techniques core collection for a brilliant £14.99.

I have also previously picked up Percy & Reed products for under £5.00 and in the past couple of weeks they have been stocking quite a few products from the American brand Physician's Formula for the amazing prices of £2.99/£3.99 per a product so I've been snapping them up.

Some people get put off by TK Maxx because it can sometimes look a bit unorganised and dare I say messy but if you are preferred to have a real good look through there are loads of bargains waiting for you!

2)- Savers

I think most people are familiar with Savers but if you aren't then it's basically the same company as Superdrug but even cheaper! You can pick up Aussie shampoo and conditioner for £2.99 instead of the £4.99 they seem to charge you everywhere else. They also have a really good range of skincare and toiletries in there from well known brands and cheaper brands you can't get anywhere else but don't dismiss these because some of them are really good.

Also when Superdrug discontinues some of it's lines it gets sent to the Savers shops to clear! They also sell their perfumes at reaonable prices such as the other day I went in and they had a DKNY Red Delicious 50ml selling for £19.99!

3) - Poundland

Poundland have for a while now been stocking discontinued lines that retailers may not be stocking anymore or maybe have changed the packaging for a whole £1.00 and I'm not talking brands you've never heard of either - I've picked up Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Revlon and other branded products for a £1.00! I've also seen Calvin Klein eyeshadows so it's worth having a scout. I will warn it's very hit and miss but sometimes you can pick up some fab bits.

Poundland of course stock all sorts of products from deodrants, shampoos and skincare products which again are all branded so it's definitely worth having a look before you make a trip to Boots or Superdrug to see what products they have in. 

4)- 99p Store

Much like Poundland and again the stock is very hit and miss but you can pick up some really good stuff in there but just be prepared for the potential that one day there will be literally nothing you want to purchase and the day after you could have a basket full! 

5)- Supermarkets

Supermarkets have some of the best deals on beauty products with Tesco and Asda being the ones I most regularly get my bargains from. Would definitely say have a look as both seem to always have certain lines reduced to clear at amazing prices!

6)- Online

I plan on doing another blog post containing websites for grabbing beauty bargains but one that automatically springs to mind is www.fragrancedirect.co.uk  and also blog sales from other beauty bloggers is a fab way of not only getting products at good prices but also to test products out.
